Frequently Asked Questions
1. How do I sign up?
There is no signup process. This program is an experiment to see how well Mechanical Turk works for affiliate marketing. The participation link contains all the information I need to pay you when someone you refer makes a purchase.
2. How does this system work?
If you refer someone to http://www.feedbackarmy.com/?friend=ASSIGNMENT_ID, I set a cookie on that person's browser that associates your ASSIGNMENT_ID with them.
When this person makes a purchase, I check for the presence of an ASSIGNMENT_ID. If it exists, I pay $1.00 to you automatically.
Because this is based on assignment ID, you must complete the HIT you came from so I can pay bonuses to you.
3. What happens if a person clears their cookies?
Cookies are the only mechanism I can use to store information about a user. If someone clears their cookies, your affiliate ID is lost until they click your link again. The good news--if they bookmark the Feedback Army homepage (the one with your code), they will be reaffiliated with your assignment ID each time they visit from their bookmarks.
4. How can I promote Feedback Army?
If you have friends who design websites, tell them about Feedback Army. They benefit because Feedback Army is a cost effective way to learn what normal internet users think of a website. It's so cheap (starting at $10!) that any project at any budget level can benefit.
If you have a website, Facebook, or LinkedIn profile consider linking to Feedback Army.
You can also try writing articles for your blog, sites that accept articles, or other blogs. Use your experience as a reviewer to give advice that applies to many websites. If you go this route, please apply common sense. Don't mention specific websites you've reviewed. This isn't fair to the Feedback Army customers.
5. What are the rules?
I don't have a strict list of rules (yet). However integrity and good internet citizenship are important to me. This means spamming (unsolicited emailing, unwanted posting to message boards, etc.) and any other dubious activity are off-limits. If I catch someone doing this, I will ban their IDs from this program.
